As most of you know I love my pond, and my pond blog here, but I was thinking about adding to my first love! Tell me what you think
I was thinking of breaking a hole in the bottom pond....lower left corner, just to allow a trickle of water to flow down about 30ft through a rock riverbed I would make, I would want this to basically be a dry bed most of the time, but if the rain overflowed the first ponds (not something that happens often here in SO CAL) the excess would flow down to pond #2! (Well really in my case I thinks its pond #3 but who is counting!) lol
Seriously, Then Pond #3 would be a small 5 to 7 ft long pond by maybe 4 ft across a foot to 2 ft deep around! It would be mostly plants and a Bog garden! No Fish, except any minnows that wanted to try and take the gauntlet of the new rock riverbed. I also Figure one of the turtles might decide to go for a walk once in a while too, but we will have to see. Anyway Trying to get the wife on board, she starting to think I'm crazy! Especially since I keep mentioning those NATURAL POOLS i saw! So d**n cool! Anyway I have extra liner from my first pond build, figure I need another pump to get the water from #3 to the big pond so it can get filtered, but then again adding what might be another 800GALS might require another filter! In that case maybe I make a small falls at the back of the bottom pond for pond pump #3 to drain into and back on its voyage again!
OK not sure if you could keep up with all that, its was tough writing! LOL
Anyone with ADD on experience to their own pond Id love to hear from you. Especially about ATTACHING OR COMBINING TO SEPARATE PIECES OF LINER to be WATERTIGHT!
Thanks
