Wondering how much water fellow ponders lose to evaporation, plants, etc. (not leaks) I have a 3 ft falls falling into a 6 by 5 ft pond which drops down into a 7ft long steam a few inches deep acorss lava rock and river stone, before finally settling and being repumped up to start over again in a 11 by 8 ft free from pond. I figure Im around 1500+G or so, and since everything rolls down hill in my pond--as seen by my pictures on his blog--loss shows in bottom pond only---but every 3 days I say I need to add about a inch of water---if it hits 100+ here in the valleys of LA dropping to 70 at night almost every other day. DO you think Im lossing water somewhere? If so falls are usually the culprit and I thought I won that battle! LOL anyway any help from warm weather ponders appreciated! :-)
